What is the difference between LTE and 5GNR?
Radio waves connect devices to the network, but what is the difference between 5G and LTE?
- While 4G (LTE) networks were mostly designed for phones, 5G networks were designed for processing different types of data faster and more efficiently. Xtreme Enterprises design 5G networks that exceed BEAD Funding requirements.
- There is a limit to how much information radio waves can carry depending on frequency band. If we reach that limit, for someone to get better speed, someone else’s must decrease. 5G adds more capacity, more ”space” to use, which means that there’s more room for everyone.
- While 4G provides a one-size-fits-all kind of connectivity, where every device gets the same service, 5G is different. 5G provides greater efficiency when connecting devices. Ericsson MassiveMIMO radios can “sleep” during times of little to no use saving considerable energy.
